Creating Events
How to create, configure, and publish events
Create a New Event

| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Event Name | Yes | The public title of your event |
| Start Date/Time | Yes | When the event begins |
| End Date/Time | No | When the event ends |
| Location | No | Physical address or "Online" |
| Description | No | Rich text description (supports HTML) |
| Cover Image | No | Header image for the event page |
Event Settings
After creation, configure additional settings in the event edit page:
- Visibility — Public (listed) or Unlisted (link-only access)
- Registration — Open or closed
- Requires Approval — Manually approve each registration
- Waitlist — Enable when capacity is reached
- Custom URL Slug — Customize your event page URL
Event Type Badge
Each event displays a type badge on its public page:
- In-Person — events with a physical location
- Online — virtual events (link provided after registration)
- Hybrid — both in-person and online options
The badge appears prominently on the event hero section so guests immediately know the format.
Custom Primary Color
Set a custom primary color in the Page Builder > Theme panel. This color is used for:
- The hero section background
- CTA buttons on the public event page
- Accent elements across all page builder blocks
Mobile Experience
On mobile devices, the public event page shows a floating Register button at the bottom of the screen. This keeps the registration CTA visible as guests scroll through event details.
QR Tickets
After registration, guests receive a branded QR ticket that includes:
- Event cover image
- Event date and time
- Location (for in-person/hybrid events)
- Unique QR code for check-in
Tickets can be saved to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Publishing
Events start as Draft. Click Publish to make them visible at app.eventually.one/e/your-event-slug.
