Discount Codes
Create and manage discount codes for your event tickets
Overview
Discount codes (also called promo codes or coupon codes) let you offer reduced prices on tickets. Guests enter the code at checkout to apply the discount.
Creating a Discount Code
- Open your event from the dashboard
- Go to Tickets → Discount codes
- Click New discount code
- Configure the code:
| Field | Description |

| Code | The code guests enter (e.g., EARLY20) — case insensitive |
| Discount type | Fixed amount (e.g., €10 off) or percentage (e.g., 20% off) |
| Discount value | The amount or percentage to deduct |
| Max uses | Maximum number of times the code can be redeemed (leave blank for unlimited) |
| Expiration date | Optional date after which the code no longer works |
- Click Create
Fixed vs. Percentage Discounts
- Fixed amount — deducts a specific euro amount from the ticket price (e.g., €10 off a €50 ticket = €40)
- Percentage — deducts a percentage of the ticket price (e.g., 20% off a €50 ticket = €40)
Fixed discounts cannot reduce the ticket price below €0. If the discount exceeds the ticket price, the ticket becomes free.
Max Uses
Set a max use limit to control how many guests can use the code. For example, set max uses to 50 for an early-bird code limited to the first 50 buyers.
Once the limit is reached, the code is automatically deactivated. Guests who try to use it see an "Invalid or expired code" message.
Expiration Dates
Set an expiration date to automatically deactivate a code after a specific date. For example, an early-bird code that expires the week before the event.
Per-Event Codes
Discount codes are scoped to a specific event. A code created for Event A cannot be used on Event B. To offer the same code across multiple events, create it separately for each event.
Applying at Checkout
When a guest reaches the checkout step, they see an Add promo code field. They enter the code and click Apply to see the discounted price before completing registration.
Viewing Redemptions
In Tickets → Discount codes, each code shows:
- Total redemptions vs. max uses
- Total discount amount given
- Redemption history (per guest)
