Manage waitlisted guests when events reach capacity
How the Waitlist Works
When your event reaches its ticket capacity, new registrants are automatically placed on the waitlist instead of being rejected.
Automatic Promotion
When a spot opens (due to cancellation), the next waitlisted guest is automatically promoted:
- If Requires Approval is off → promoted to Approved
- If Requires Approval is on → promoted to Pending (still needs manual approval)
Promoted guests receive a confirmation email with their ticket and QR code.
Managing the Waitlist
View waitlisted guests in your event's Guests tab. Filter by status → Waitlisted to see the queue.
You can manually:
- Approve a waitlisted guest (bypasses the queue)
- Reject a waitlisted guest (removes from waitlist)
